I'll put down some of my bio here because it might make the collection of topics on this website make sense. I was born and raised in sunny Southern California, got my BA in History at the University of California at Santa Barbara, for which I started learning Mandarin, and after graduation moved to Taipei to pursue the language in earnest. I really loved it there and ended up staying for a Masters in Business Administration from the School of International Business in the College of Management at National Taiwan University.
I'm not sure if you actually want to read my thesis, but the gist was how the combo of something like block-chain (Bitcoin wouldn't be invented for a couple of years) and Linked-in would allow organizations to become more agile. I'm actually pretty proud of it, not just the buzzwords, because it does seem to be a prediction coming to pass, and the hardcover is very handsome on my shelf.
Then I returned to California to be closer to my folks and in an unexpected twist ended up being a numbers guy rather than the marketer I would have thought from all those killer grad school presentations. Really, give me a mic and an audience and you'll either get a great presentation or some memorable karaoke.
Anyhow, getting deeper into the the numbers and computers, I've gotten into all sorts of other interesting things, geodesics, 3D printing, and all sorts of scientific topics. I also like to cook, swing dance and tango.
